About the event
Teams of 3–8 people will spend the week of October 6 working together to build a 20-30 inch wood-fired pizza oven using natural and salvaged materials.
Teams can partner with one of our local nonprofit organizations that would like to host an oven during the Convergence, or a team captain can organize and build at a site of their choosing. Leading up to the challenge, Unbound and the Wood-Fired Skool community will rolllout a free, digital oven-building course to support you. You will also have the opportunity to join a workshop on October 4th in Oconee county to refine your skills before the workshop. (More details and cost coming soon!) Challenge winners will receive prizes and recognition in the following categories: -Best Overall Construction & Design
